Click OUSD Wellness to learn more about this policy, healthy eating and exercise. Foods and beverages sold to students through the district’s child nutrition program, student stores, vending machines and fundraisers meet or exceed state and federal nutrition standards. Nutrition education is provided as a part of the district’s health education program. |

The Oceanside Unified School District will offer several options for students to enroll in kindergarten and transitional kindergarten programs for the 2012-13 school year. Registration for all programs begins April 16, 2012. Eleven sites will offer full-day programs; five will provide half-day offerings, while an additional five campuses will be home to the district's new transitional kindergarten classes. Children who turn 4 years of age by October 1st, may qualify to participate in the Oceanside Unified School District State Preschool Program. Preschool Registration is April 15-May 24th. Preschool registration packets are available in the office.
Major League baseball player Nick Hundley and professional soccer player Chiky Luna will serve as the two main guest speakers for the OUSD Men’s Conference Saturday, June 1 at El Camino High School. The free event aims to inspire fathers and young men to step up their involvement in the educational process and their positions as role models in their homes and in the community.
